Hi,

No, it's not related SP. Service Processor (SP) is a system-independent resource in the storage system that helps you to monitor and manage storage system parameters such as the temperature, voltage, current, fan speeds etc.

Yes, ideally they should show active/active.

What is In-Band ACP?
With ONTAP 9.0 and later, ACP uses available 'SAS data links' to perform the same tasks. This feature is referred to as In-Band ACP. Earlier they used separate Ports/Paths, and were called Out-of-Band (OOB) ACP.

Their purpose?
To perform various Shelf IO Module maintenance recovery tasks, such as expander resets and shelf power cycles.

Please see following KB: {For your issue }
In-Band ACP reporting "initializing", "firmware-update-required", or "unsupported" for IOM6 modules:

Plz give us the output of these 2 commands:

::> storage shelf acp show -instance
::> storage shelf acp module show -instance

Simultaneously, raise a ticket with NetApp.
