SnapMirror for DR and then use FlexClone for backup. is this possible?

Hi Experts,

We have a huge CIFS volume in our primate storage, so naturally we want to DR snapmirror (VSM) this to our secondary storage in our DR site. However we also want a long term backup/snapshots. So SnapVault is the first option. But if I understand it correctly, SM and SV require their own baseline copy of the source data.

I am thinking, what if I use SnapMirror for DR puposes and then flexclone the mirror for backup purposes, is this possible?

I think I just answered my own question. There is no way for the flexclone to get the changes.
