Hi,

I'm trying to delete a vserver peering but couldn't do it. its returned with an error message.

Error: command failed: Relationship is in use by SnapMirror in local cluster. Use the "snapmirror release" command to release the application, then retry the command.

and snapmirror show is currently empty. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello,

You might need to do "snapmirror list-destinations" and do a release with the relationship-ID.

Do you have any snapshots on source left over from previous SnapMirror?

we didn't initialize the snapmirror on paticipating vservers.

It would appear that it thinks you have snapmirror relationships setup. Anything in a snapmirror show?

it looks like that, but snapmirror show is empty

::> snapmirror show

This table is currently empty.

Have you run that on both ends?

yes, but the destination has few snapmirror sessions but nothing associated to the vserver that i want to delete the vserver peering.

eg:

vserver_source peered to vserver_destination1 ---> No snapmirror sessions

vserver_source peered to vserver_destination2 ---> There are snapmirror sessions.

Hi,

That worked. Thank you.

Be careful if you're not on 8.2.1P2 when removing vserver peer relationships. Hit this nasty bug with a client last week:
