Volume still has protection relationship but mirror has been deleted.

I have a volume that used to be protected that I'd like to remove.

The destination volume was deleted first unfortunately so ONTAP still sees a protection relationship.

So far I've attempted using the "snapmirror release" "snapmirror delete" commands but they failed.

I have also attempted to use the "volume delete" command which also failed.

The message that I get back is that the destination volume is offline.

How can I remove this unused volumes?

ONTAP 9.7

Thanks!

See if there is a snapshot in that volume related to SnapMirror. Sometimes deleting that works. I don't know why, but it does.

Hello,

Try using the -force true when performing the offline/delete command for that volume.

Thanks

Yep, it still had a snap that had to be deleted first.

I re-initialized the protection and then removed everything from the source volume and then cleaned up the destination volume.

Thanks for the help!  It is really appreciated.
