hi,
we have NetaApp 8.1.4p1 7 Mode
i have an aggreagte aggr01 of 8276 gb and it had a volume of 7443 gb now i have destroyed that volume. Now there is no volume in this aggr. it doesnt allow me to create new volume of size 7443 gb as its WAFL reserve is 4728 gb. i am wondering why that huge WAFL reserve . it took only 10% of the aggr but here it to high. please help me why is so as i need this volume to be created. if no help received i will detroy the aggr and re create it. plz guide

After volume deletion there is a space reclamation within the aggregate.
This means that capcity won't be immidiately emptied.
This is a nature of WAFL.
if you check the aggregate capacity with df -A command with a time difference of 5-10 minutes
you will see that capacity is slightly being freed up.
so basically the only I can recommend is to wait

You should consider upgrading to either latest version of 7-mode or start thinking about moving to cDOT
