cDot Metro-Cluster Rename MetaData volume

Hello Guys,

I was looking for a possibility to rename the Cluster mode metro cluster metadata volume or System volume for CPS Configuration Replication Storage Area Group subsystem.

the default name for these volumes are:

Not sure if that will break something or is there any additional spets to be followed in we want to rename these volumes.

Why do you need to rename them in the first place?

Those volumes can't be renamed - even in diag mode.

optimus::*> vol rename -vserver optimus -volume MDV_CRS_72579a45295d11e58dc000a0986a07b7_A -newname new_name

Error: command failed: This operation is not supported for the system volume
       "MDV_CRS_72579a45295d11e58dc000a0986a07b7_A".
