I hope this is in your lab.....

And you should be on the phone with support if it's not your lab.

You're probably going to have to netboot, but im not 100% sure

i will try to netbooting to 8.2.1 and then retry again if it'll work fine. thank!

You can try boot_backup command at loader prompt - it should boot previous version. Otherwise you need to reinstall 8.2.1 using NetBoot.

i already try to boot_backup at loader prompt, but it still fall to load the system.

on loader stage, i find a bootargs.upgrade = true, Should i change the state from true to false?

should i try to recovery system with these steps as follow?

1. on loader prompt: try to boot_netboot 8.2.1

2. choice (4) to reinitiate disk system form special-boot and install the root volume.

3. reinstall the image of 8.1.4p1、revert_to 8.1 and reboot again to downgrade the system.

Normally if you forgot to issue revent_to this will result to an error like "No usable root volume found"

Try to boot into maintenance mode from special-boot menu during boot CTRL-C

Check the current state of the aggregates, and disk ownerships. if everything looks normal boot with netboot and make a software install and revert_to

good luck

sadly, i already remove the disk owner, and reinitiate the system from special-boot menu.

can i use netboot to recover all system?

Do you have any data on this system or was it new, just delivered, factory installed system?

i have no value data on this system, so i can erase all of it.

can you give any suggestion to factory installed system?

i have try net boot, but i fail ! the error message as below:

You should extract the tgz, and use netboot http://192.168.1.50/netboot/kernel

I'm in the same situation, but net boot does not work due to:

PANIC: raid: there are no data or parity disks in SK process rc on release 8.1.4P1 on Mon Jun 16 07:55:57 GMT 2014

This system was upgraded to 8.2, but this apparently rewrote the loader firmware and disk labels, which somehow makes it hard to boot either version...

I'm opening a case on this and will hopefully write the solution here.

Any luck KRISTOFFERE? I am in the same situation with the loader firmware and disk labels.

Thanks,

I did the tgz extract using IZarc and pointed toward the kernel file and that is what got the OnTAP to install for me. Thanks KRISTOFFERE for mentioning it, sent me in the right direction.

Some more info on IZarc:
