In a lab I created a 1 gig volume. Then added 1 gig of space. The DF ouput showing the size increase from 996148kb to 1992296kb is below. The values are not exact because of metadata (overhead). I copied 755MB of files to the volume. We see used increase and the available go down from 1992132 to 1124480. The DF file you found should have the data your wanting. If your not seeing the value change you may need to look at an older Autosupport. The names are timestamp.

The size difference between the current space of the volume from the old autosupport log (prior the modification) and the new autosupport (after the modification) is the value of the space that was added.

Does that version of ONTAP have a command history ASUP section? It's been a while but if you check the daily management log, you can see if that was the case.
