joining vfiler to illegal domain name

Hi, we have a FAS2050 I have setup a vfiler to 1 of our domains and thats working fine! however one of the other domain contains a _ in the name. This is stopping me joining the vfiler to the domain. How can I get around it?

How are you setting up the vfiler - Provisioning Manager, FilerView or CLI ?

Chris - what version of ONTAP are you running - I believe in 7.3.1 we restricted naming to [A-Za-z0-9.].* (ie, alphanumeric and fullstop not allowing hypens and underscores)

The inference is this should work as you expect it to 7.2.5 but it changed in 7.3 (there is a bug outstanding to track this - 349709)

I ran across this just yesterday when trying to create a vfiler in Provisioning Manager to test the migration capability (I was using a hyphen in that particular instance)

Is there a work around for this problem, I managed to create the vfiler on a different domain last time.. but I will need to get this working this time round!
