shelves migration from FAS3210 to 2554

We have ordered New Netapp FAS2554 and shall be installed.

And we have already a old Netapp FAS3210.

We also loan 2 x DS2246 for our migration.

So what should we do for the shelves migration?

Just disconnect from the old one and connect to the new one with the cabling guide ?

in general procedure for 7mode

1. upgrade the olde node to the same version as new one

2. shutdown old one, turn off all the shelves

3. connect all shelves to new one

4. turn on shelves firstly, then new head

5. go to maintennance mode to assign the disks to new node

6. boot it up normally

7. check licenses (should be fine, up to the version of ontap)

5.5 - restore /var from old disks, otherwise some configuration is lost or incorrect (takes some time to notice). But OP tagged question with both C-Mode and 7-Mode which makes it rather hard to answer ...
