Hi everybody

I would like to get some help.

I upgraded our Netapp system to ONTAP 9.10.1

Now i would like to use a feature called snaplock...

What is the popular or basic policy for snaplock?

Thankss

You can run "license show" from the CLI.

There's also a spot in the GUI -> Cluster -> Settings -> Licenses

You can also check what shipped with it via my support.netapp.com -> Systems -> Software license

If you don't have it you can work with your Partner or NetApp account team to request a quote or trial.

And yes you can use snapmirror with snaplock, but there are a few things to know.

Do you have a licenses for it applied?

Here's a TR on Snaplock in general - https://www.netapp.com/pdf.html?item=/media/6158-tr4526pdf.pdf

But there's two types.  Snaplock Enterprise (SLE) and Snaplock Compliance (SLC).

SLE - has a privilege delete option.

SLC- has no delete, no undo,  once the data is locked there is no deleting it or wiping the drives even.

How can i check a snaplock's license?

Another question... how is working a snapmirror's policy?
