FAS2552 and SEP (Symantec Endpoint Protection)

Hi All,

I just need a quick confirmation: Does FAS2552 integrates with Symantec Endpoint Protection?  My customer wants to scan files that will be stored in a FAS2552. Does it works for CIFS/SMB and NFS?

SEP runs on the endpoint (windows desktop/server), so no.  Symantec has other products that integrate with controllers running in 7mode or cluster mode.  See the Antivirus Configuration Guide for the particular version of Data ONTAP in use.  For compatability with specific versions of Data ONTAP and the assorted AV products check the IMT.
