replacing a defective shelf

Experts,

We are replacing a defective DS14mk4FC shelf, so we plan on shutting down the filer. I have a question about power-off. Do we need to power-off all the shelves in all loops (we have a few) or do we only need to power off the shelves in the affected loop?

Thanks

M

You only need to shutdown filer head(s), there is no need to power off shelves.

Hi,

Bringing down the filer itself made the disk spinning action to halt, apparently need to powered down the defective shelf.
