Network issues on 7.3.6 Simulator

7.3.6 Sim on Ubuntu VM cannot access the network.

I cannot access the Simulator running on this VM

RamK -

 

Your issue is due to how the simulator uses the eth interface to sniff for packets addressed to it's IPs.

I'd usualy configure eth1 down on the host, and then use eth1 as the interface for the simulator to bind to.

(It asks which interface to use during simulator set up.)

Hi Eugene,

 

When i first attempted to configure this Simulator, eth1 was down and if i rememeber correctly the filer console was flooded with "network down/unavailable" messages.

I'll disable eth1 and try again.

With eth1 down, the console is flooded 😞
