Unable to add and login to CM 8.2 with OC system manager V3

as the title states; Unable to add and login to CM 8.2 with OC system manager V3.

config is thus;

ONTAP82-CM

CM cluster_mgmt up/up 192.168.178.121/24 ONTAP82-CM-01 e0c

ONTAP82-CM-01

clus1 up/up 169.254.51.100/16ONTAP82-CM-01 e0a

clus1 up/up 169.254.4.34/16ONTAP82-CM-01 e0b

clus1 up/up 192.168.178.120/24 ONTAP82-CM-01 e0c

I can ssh to it from a linux box.

I cannot however add it to OnCommand System Manager V3 in either interface ending in 120/121

It doesn't recognise the username and password I use...i.e. admin as the users with the correct password. this is the same account I can login via SSH and at the console.

Any thoughts?

..Answered.. Just have to give it time...!!

The reason is that in Ontap Simulator 8.2, the Community Names = public is not added by default. Therefore, this is the workaround

1. Login using Credentials, that is Username = admin and password="whatever your password is"

2. Login again by double clicking on the controller name in system manager

3. Go to Cluster, Configuration, System Tools and then SNMP

4. Click Edit and add "public" to the Community Names

SNMP login should work now.
