I Deployed Two Node & Single Node Cluster ONTAP Select in my Test Lab. I would like to do rest of the administration via REST APIs (Like Creating VSERVER, LIFs, VOLUMES, NFS, CIFS etc..)
In my understanding automation using API should be only for repetitive task and as cluster setup is one time task so I do not feel worth to put effort. But still if you want to setup this for learning purpose, I suggest first atleast setup mgmt IP so that you can access cluster to run APIs.
