Broken link for SDK API Doc?

Team,

I see a lot of references that the documentation on the specific API calls of the SDK toolkit can be found at:

https://communities.netapp.com/community/interfaces_and_tools/developer/apidoc

However, that link seems to just direct me to the homepage:

http://community.netapp.com/t5/Developer-Network/ct-p/developer-network

Can someone help assist where we find specific API call syntax used in the SDK?

There's extensive html documentation included in the SDK itself.

Open the SDK_help.htm file in the root install directory.

I hope this response has been helpful to you.

Doesn't help me.  The SDK_help distributed with the SDK just covers the NaServer and NaElement API operations.  Whay I (and apparently others) need is the detailed information about the API calls themselves, such as 'license-v2-list-info', which is my current problem.  I need to know how to invoke said API and what it returns.  I have this documentation for my current version (5.2.1R1), but I cannot find it for 5.3.

Hi Stuart, FYI and for the records, the documentation is actually embedded in the SDK download, in the zedi editor.

Yes, it took me a while to find out, and I'm not entirely sure it is not embedded somewhere else, but at least it is here if you need it.

I'm on a mac, so I just run it with java -jar zexplore.jar in the terminal and dismiss the warning it gived, I'm sure the .exe on windows is easier.

Once loaded, you choose the SDK version in the top left drop down, like "Ontapi 1.21 Cluster Mode", and you get a nice hierarchy of calls with attributes and return values.

Thanks for the reply, but that link does not help.  I am looking for the API doc that shows the function and such.  That link used to work a while back, but we really need that link back.

Abhit -

Thank you !

I'm teaching class in Hyderabad India this week, and one of the students was asking about this issue.

He referenced this post just this morning.

It will be such a pleasure for me to follow up in the morning tomorrow in class  with a reference to your reply!

Documentation for 8.3 will be posted soon.

WHERE will it be posted? Again in this thread? And how are we supposed to find it later? Should we now hunt for it all over this new community site? Why was it necessary to destroy very well working community and create this mess?

The page http://community.netapp.com/t5/Developer-Network-Articles-and-Resources/NetApp-Manageability-NM-SDK-Introduction-and-Download-Information/ta-p/86418 tells us to download documentation from http://community.netapp.com/community/interfaces_and_tools/developer/apidoc. Please fix this page and insert valid location there.

It was posted few days ago

... in yet another discussion thread instead of fixing link in the document where everyone expects this link to be. This is exactly what I meant when saying "hunt for it all over this new community site".

I wanted to let you know that we are working on this issue and trying to fix the link within the document.  We are sorry for the frustration this might have caused-please let me know if there is anything else within the Community that I can help you with.

Thanks,

The RC1 is out. Is there a link for the 8.3 API documentation yet?

Also, please ensure there is link for the download that is easily found.
