You can say that Zoom was the starting point from where ZEDI was developed.
ZEDI is a very much enhanced version of Zoom.
You should know that Zoom is not externally supported and ZEDI is bundled with the NetApp Manageability SDK.
I'd recommended you to use ZEDI. Its very useful and has a rich feature set.
