We have multiple volumes and LUN's within those volumes to attach to our ESXI servers. I recently ran dedup on the volumes and had great results. Savings from 31-74%. However I did notice that through ESXI it does not show any more free space. Example: vol/vmware is 300GB and has 212GB available. Before dedup it only had ~100GB available. On ESXI it still only shows 14.25GB free space. Any help would be appreciated.

The host will see the amount it wrote to disk and not the deduplicated or compressed results, but they are saved on the controller. The host can still write 300GB to the LUN so for more host space increase the lun (add an extent or storage vmotion move to a new bigger lun).
