Hi all, I don't know if this is the right board, but I will select this one. I acquired a refurbished Netapp Switch for my homelab, and I am trying to configure this, but I am getting stuck when I want to configure a port without any VLANs, and I don't know why. This Switch is connected to two HPE DL362-G9(vSphere) and a Synology. (SwitchNetApp) #show version Switch: 1 System Description............................. NetApp CN1610, 1.3.0.2, Linux 3.8.13-2de1cc1c Machine Type................................... NetApp CN1610 Machine Model.................................. CN1610 Serial Number.................................. 41011200095 Part Number.................................... 111-00982 Burned In MAC Address.......................... 00:A0:98:EA:6D:82 Software Version............................... 1.3.0.2 Operating System............................... Linux 3.8.13-2de1cc1c Network Processing Device...................... BCM56820_B0 CPLD version................................... 0x6 Additional Packages............................ FASTPATH QOS FASTPATH IPv6 Management This is my problem: I have ports from 1-5 using VLAN 10 for the storage network, and working without issues. In Synology and ESXi Storage is working all is ok with 10Gb connections. This is an example of the port configuration: (SwitchNetApp) #show running-config interface 0/1 !Current Configuration: ! interface 0/1 mtu 9216 switchport mode trunk switchport trunk allowed vlan 10 lldp transmit lldp receive lldp med exit But for the ports, I don't need VLANs, like for VMs network and ESXi management, I can't get the port to work. On the vSphere switch, everything is ok since I have another switch(1Gb) where I connect, and the ESXi and VMs have a network. But any port on NEtapp switch I try to connect I cant make it work. Ports, cables, and interface cards are ok because if I change the configuration to use VLAN10(like above), it works. Example of a port withou any VLAN: (SwitchNetApp) #show running-config interface 0/14 !Current Configuration: ! interface 0/14 switchport mode access lldp transmit lldp receive lldp notification lldp med exit I have tried everything, with native VLAN1 without, with mode access, and without, and I don't know why nothing works. Since Virtual Switch doesn't have VLAN or trunk, it should be easy, but no. What am I doing wrong here? Thank You LP

is this a supported configuration for snapcenter plugin for vmware vsphere 8.x? Datacenter 1 - location 1 - Snapcenter appliance installed and virtual center server - several VMs - VMs are on NFS stores provided by the Netapp. => backup of vms are working through snapshots Datacenter 2 - location 2 - same virtual center server who manage the ESXi Hosts but no additional Snapcenter appliance deployed. - several VMs also on NFS store provided from a different Netapp => goal: Backup VMs with snapshots from SCV in datacenter1 Currently the backup runs also on Vms on datacenter2 but it creates the snapshot on the NFS store from Datacenter1? Therefore restore will not work. thx Patrick

Hello everyone, I have 2 identical NetApps AFF-C250. On one NetApp I was able to successfully use the ontap vmware plugin to add the datastores. On the other one I cannot and get this error: There are no matching storage systems found for the selected SCP I've compared both my netapps but not having any luck finding anything different. Anyone have some pointers? Thanks!

Hello, First time user and new setup of Netapp C250. Did a takeover exercise and it was successful from the NetApp perspective. My issue is that during the takeover exercise I lost connectivity to all my VMs. This is because the hosts lost connections to the datastores during the takeover and had to go in and manually reconnect from the host. My environment runs on vsphere esxi 8.0, we're presenting regular old iscsi luns from Netapp to vmware and we have Round Robin multipathing wtih VMW_SATP_ALUA. Any common settings I'm overlooking or can someone poke me in the right direction? I've read a couple of threads and while I have opened a ticket for log analysis I'm preparing for ping-pong exercise between netapp and vmware. Appreciate everyone's input!

Hi,Team I have a FAS8040. After the controller malfunctioned, I replaced the controller motherboard. After gifeback, the system disk was in the current controller and the data disk was in the previously faulty controller. After restarting, I directly entered the cluster setup interface. How can I solve this problem? Thanks very much.
