I'm trying to find out if there is any issues with VMware ESXi 5.x and SMVI backup/restore when the VMware NFS datastores are of NetApp LUNs on the same NetApp Volume. Any insights are much appreciated. Thank you!
I wouldn't say it's an "issue", but you'll end up with multiple clones if you try to do a restore, and it will take longer to complete. Best practices on NetApp suggests that you create a single LUN per volume: http://media.netapp.com/documents/tr-3749.pdf
