We're designing a new production environment which will include four ESXi v4.1 hosts. VC will not be part of the environment. Storage is a FAS2040 running DOT 7.3.4.
With these specifications in mind, is it possible for all four hosts to use the same NFS export as a datastore?
Hi, this is perfectly possible, even implementing ESXi's without vCenter. Once ESXi implement file locking, there is no problem with this design. In addition, if you plan to use vCenter soon, your environment will be already ok.
