NVE on NFS vols as vmware datastores

We plan to ugprade to Ontap 9.3 on our 8020 controllers so we can enable NVE on CIFS nad NFS volumes.

From what I can tell, it is possible to enable NVE on NFS datastores. Does anyone do it? Did you encrypt existing vols or created new vols? Was there any performance degradation?

You can enable NVE on any volume on ONTAP encluding ones that are used as VMware Datastores.

I have done both for customers,   new and convert.  Starting on 9.3 you can now convert inplace, which I find easier to do.

VERY Minimal performace impact (it's not zero, so i'll say minimal)   I have not one customer notice it on their boxes.
