SMVI scripts. Documentation?

Hi

I'm having trouble locating documentation for the script element of SMVI.  the installation and admin doc just says 'pick from a list of scripts and they must complete in 30 mins".  Where can I get more information?  like where the scripts run?  on each machine being backed up?  on the SMVI server?  are there any hooks to SMVI or SMVI variables passed?

this information must be somewhere!

Could you take a look at TR 3737. There is a section on scripting in the TR
