Setting up OTV using a service account and per our internal security team best practices, they won't allow us to give the service account administrator rights into vCenter. What are the granular permissions that we can grant to the service account that'll still allow us to both successfully install and manage OTV? Configuration: vCenter: 8.0 Update 2 ONTAP: 9.13.1Px OTV: 9.13P1

When will OTV use purely REST API only? as it appears even in OTV 9.13P1 ZAPI calls are being made which is being picked up by an upgrade advisor. With the move to depreciate ZAPI from ONTAP 9.14 I would of thought OTV 9.13P1 would now have moved across?

We are currently running OnTAP Tools 9.11. I see that I can upgrade to 9.13 easily enough, but 10.0 seems to be a different animal altogether. The link belong talks about migrating from 9.x to 10, but I can't find information on upgrading. Does a separate OVA need to be deployed to 'upgrade' to 10? If so I can't find that documented anywhere. The article below talks about being able to migrate from 9.11 "D4", but not from 9.12 or 9.13. If I upgrade to 9.13, will I be able to migrate to 10? Can anyone provide clarity? Thanks in advance. https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-tools-vmware-vsphere-10/migrate/migrate_to_ng.html

hey all in a bit of a pickle here. i have deployed ONTAP Tools for vmware using the following KB Overview (netapp.com) i mean everything went great up until after i actually created the VVOL via the plugin GUI. The VVOL itself gets created, and it shows up on the vcenter inventory, but there is a big red exclamation mark and it says that the folder for HA (.vSphere-HA) cannot be created, it seems that i cant write anything on the newly created vvol becasue when i go and create a new file withing the vvol via vcenter, it gives me the same error = "Cannot Create File" i had the netapp support guys with me on a web call but they couldnt really figure it out so i sent them a whole bunch of info and log to look into, i have approached broadcom too and they can confirm that the below alarms were noted so they wanted me to tell that to the netapp guys. Alarm.NFSPeConfigNotFound Alarm.VvolDatastoreFlexVolsAreSick Alarm.VvolDatastoreNasPENotFoundOnNode i have also looked into the OTV logs referencing the following KB but couldnt really find anything usefull as of now. Where are the troubleshooting logs for Virtual Storage Console, VASA, and Storage Replication Adapter? - NetApp Knowledge Base has anyone ran into this problem before and was able to fix it? if so any help is really appreciated. thank!

I have snapcenter plug-in for VMware and the underlying protocol is FC for the storage connectivity. I want to retain more snapcenter snapshots at the secondary storage and hence planning to use “mirror-vault” policy for SM relation and update snapvault after back up option in plugin. To restore a VM from vault backup what is the connectivity requirement from secondary storage to snapcenter plugin/vcenter/host. Do I need any fc connectivity as primary is based on FC protocol ?
