NetApp are phasing out the use of ZAPI and have messages everywhere about it. Its even mentioned during upgrades. During the upgrade of our storage array for our VMware environment we were notified that ZAPI had been used in the last 30 days. The only system other than the ESX hosts that communicates with the storage is ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere. Reading the ONTAPI communique https://mysupport.netapp.com/info/communications/ECMLP2880232.html Which leads to the FAQ https://kb.netapp.com/Advice_and_Troubleshooting/Miscellaneous/FAQs_on_ZAPI_to_ONTAP_REST_API_transformation_for_CPC_(Customer_Product_Communiques)_notification This indicates that there is an "API transition" and to "Refer to the respective product roadmap". When can I find this roadmap? The latest Active IQ (9.13) release notes do not mention ONTAPi/ZAPI anywhere . So when will a version be released that is not using ZAPI?

Hello, I am not able to find data about compatibilities. We are running a vCenter 7u3j and want to go to 7u3m. The Netapp storage attached runs the NetApp Release 9.8P1. The ONTAP Tool in vCenter right now is a 9.11. I miss the following sources: - official website of Netapp that states what firmware and plugins are compatible with what vCenter versions - step by step howto how to upgrade the Netapp Release - step by step howto how to upgrade the ONTAP tool in vCenter - step by step howto how to upgrade / install the Netapp plugin if one wants to upgrade the ESXi version on the nodes. I guess a Netapp plugin has to be installed. Maybe can someone help me out please? Thanks and best Regards

Hello, if I try to update the vmware tools (vSphere 😎 on the ontap-tools-appliance, I get an error message sudo: /home/maint/scripts/install-vmware-tools.sh: command not found If I have a look to that folder, the script is really missing. Is there a workarround to this problem? best regards

We recently upgraded our vCenter server to version 8 and the Netapp plugin can no longer register. I can see in the vCenter tasks that the background NetApp discovery is still taking place, but I have no frontend environment available nor any context menu options for datastore operations. I was just curious what the estimated timeframe may be for compatibility.
