i had deployed "ontap tools for vmware" which is the new name for VSC for vmware.But the same problem occured again.
Which is the conttroller is unknown state ,with the following error message
"Error occurred while fetching storage system privileges: No Controller found for controller id [Unknown .x.x.x.x"
the compability is ok, as i checked from IMT,
what i had done is, add default credential, and modified the storage controller credential and re-discover again,but same result.
I had collected all the logs also from the plugin , searched for a clue, ıt is mostly like below,
any ideas???

What is the LIF type you have used to discover the storage SVM ?
Could you check - If it's a SVM Management IP ? or Data LIF IP ?
On ONTAP versions earlier than 9.6, a Management LIF is a LIF with data access set to "none", and firewall policy set to "mgmt". On later versions, it's a Management LIF with a "management" service policy.
Also, if you don't mind, could you share the tool's & ontap's version ?

Thanks a alot Ontapforrum ;
The ip address found it the netapp cluster mgmt ip adrees, it is automatically discovered by the "Ontap tool".
Today i will give the FCP svm a management ip address ,and then try to discover it from over that ip address.
anyway , thanks for the clue....
