This question is for both 7-mode and cDOT. Our LDAP Netgroups are nested, and can be 8 levels deep. According to this KB - https://kb.netapp.com/support/index?id=3010240&page=content&locale=en_US It appears im about of luck because all the nested groups expand and the character limit is what we hit So, if UNIX_COMPUTERS is top level and i do getXXbyYY netgrp UNIX_COMPUTERS servername I get an error, but if I try a few levels up, it finds it. Am I totally out of luck. What are others doing with large netgroups and LDAP

Also, if there is major confusion you can always delete the dr vfiler and recreate it with -u at the end to ensure it doesn't snapmirror the data and just rebuilds the dr vfiler.

Sorry, I didn't respond to you.. now I can comment on your code level since you posted it. Why on earth are you running 8.0 RC3 X code. Time to upgrade my friend... Don't forget to review your snapmirror.conf file after you run resync. Also, you can tear down and rebuild

So, I will start off by saying, I passed the certification test last week on the new test 8.3, but I do have some comments on the test... I'm extremely proficient in Netapp, especially 7-mode which i'm certified in as well. I do 7-mode and cDOT all day for a fortune 50 company, and I'm not saying this as an arrogance thing because thats the last thing I am, I am, however, saying this because for someone that does this everyday I found the test extremely challenging. (please view my post activity as reference) I would like to share my experiences with the people who created the tests, but the forums are not the proper place to do this. Please drop me a private message so we can setup some time to talk live. I will say, if you do this everyday as a career you will have some struggles with the test, not because you do not know the material but because you can make a lot of the answers work if you had too... Study Up! Thanks

Not sure where you read this, but i'm almost certain this is not possible... The only way to go from 7-mode to cdot is with a TDP relationship and it's only one way. I'm not aware of any way you can go backwards between cdot and 7-mode.. I think you have misinformation

Ok, what on earth are you trying to accomplish. Not many people that I know if use LS mirrors for applications... It's a recommended for Root volumes. Flexclones aren't really meant for what you're trying to do.

If your using NDMP backup, and you point to a snap, it's going to backup the entire volume ... The snap is just change rate and points to the data, so you need the entire volume to make sense of it
