Vol options will show you if guarantee is set to none Also, why are you running RC code for production Vmware? Bad idea. Also, 8.1.1 is very old.. Time to upgrade my friends.. Lots of bug fixes.. All upgrades are NDU and take maybe 1hr, with no downtime. I would highly recommend doing this.

So, you have to becareful of the permissions if you are exporting a root of the volume and then exporting a qtree underneath. I'm not a fan of this practice, but i'm sure it's done a lot. We like to isolate it out from the qtree and export it from there

We would like to move away from rsh and host.equiv file. Does this article - https://kb.netapp.com/support/index?page=content&id=1010841 also pertain to Domain Accounts? The reason why i'm asking is because i've read that ssh keys for domain users is not supported Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You will be buying a used 2040 controller, since is EOA, and i'm not sure when it will go EOL. DS14MK2 shelves are very old as well. I think they are EOL last year. If it's not broken, i would suggest leaving it alone and then working on getting yourself and update controller

I'm sorry but the developers will have to chime in here. I'm pretty sure it's just when yo uconnect to the controller it puts that in, but you can test that out by connecting.. I'm unable to reproduce that.

Oncommand Unified manager will do some of the forcasting for you. In my past life, i've written code to grab the information from the database via reports, wrapped them in powershell and it basically tells me how many days full on a 90 day trend. Now, i'm doing something differently. I'm feedin daily numbers and trend numbers to splunk and then building dashboards based on that. Oncommand insight is the rolls-royce of applications, It will do everything, but you need to be an application expert and have lots of money. If you have unified manager and know powershell, i'm sure if you search through my archives, I've posted on a script on this. If you need some help, i can get you started

I echo the above... I've also seen instances where a snapmirror appears "stuck" When everything checks out and the configurations are correct, I've had to abort the snapmirror and start it over and everything worked fine.
