Installing OnCommand System Manager

I'm trying to install OnCommand System Manager on a host that has a nonstandard java install.  Due to issues with another application java was installed to c:\java\jre7 instead of the default location.  This causes the following error when I try and install

"OnCommand System Manager requires a 64-bit Java 7 software. No 64-bit Java software detected"

Any help getting OnCommand to see the nonstandard java install would be appreciated.

The Java install path should not be an issue AFAIK. Can you check if the installed JRE is 64-bit and not 32-bit ?

If you have installed a 32-bit JRE on a 64-bit machine, you will get the above error.

Karthik

The java install path made all the difference.  Reinstalling java to the default path (c:\program files\java\jre7) allowed the installer to run without issue, but of course it broke my original application.

Thanks for your assistance.
