IHAC that frequently reaches the controller limit of maximum volumes. I couldn't find a built-in alert for volume count. Is there one? If not, any suggestions on how to check for it?
Thanks, Mike

There is no eventtype defined for such a condition in UM (dfm eventtype list).
If a trap is triggered/sent via ONTAP for that condition then you could configure the UM server as a traphost in the controller(s) to have an informational event logged in UM. However you will need to write a script to parse the contents of those events (scheduled to run via an alarm) and then take further actions.

Hi Mike,
If you are use provisioning manager to create volumes, then it can detect the max volume count is reached and throws an error message. But even that cant alert.
Let me see if there is any other way in which we can get this info.
