searching folders taking a long time

Hi All,

Running FAS2552 with Ontap 9.5p6.

So a user has complained that in the last 3 weeks searching (through windows 10) a particular folder (85,000 files) has gotten slower and slower and now has a reached a point that the search goes on forever.

So I took a look at indexing and apparently Ontap doesn’t do it and Microsoft Windows Indexing Service isn’t supported.

So how do people deal with old legacy folders crammed full of files?
