Recently we are seeing snapshot copies in different volumes, why is it happening anyone has came across something like this and is there a way we can fix this. Using 7mode, SMVI is used for datastore level backup.
you have a VM that has disks in multiple datastores. So SMVI snaps all the volumes that contain these disks. See the docs for setting up spanned entity exclusion (or move VM disks)
