HI,

Is there any way to create a 200TB Flex Vol?

The FAS2554 has 90 x 4TB NL-SAS

It is not allow to create one aggregate with 90 units of 4TB NL-SAS.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Tony

Tony -

Max RAID size for SATA/NL-SAS is 20 disks.(Default is 14 disks)

Max aggr size is 120TB.

Max Flexvol size is 60TB.

An aggregate can have multiple RAID groups.

Max aggr size of 120TB is about 32 data drives with the 4T spindles.(depends on drive model)

2X18 disks would have 4 parity and 32 data disks.

I'd be more conservative and use 3 RAID groups of 12 disks - 6 parity and 30 data disks.

You still have a max Flexvol size of 60T with the FAS25XX.

There's an internal document that's very informative - The Storage Subsystem FAQ.

You can ask your NetApp SE to share it with you ?

From the FAS25XX Tech Specs:

Max Vol size 60TB.

Max Aggr size: 120TB
