Hello Experts,
I need assistance and hopefully to gain best practices on my concern. Have a look at this:
Given:
Existing Volume Setup :
SVM1 , Node1, Aggr1 , Node1, = existing Vol1 for General cluster .
Required:
Would lie to know if its possible to create a new volume (Vol2) as additional volume for General Cluster? My Aggr1 is almost full so I was thinking to use different aggregate (Aggr2) but currently located in another node. Though I'm still going to use same SVM and Cluster.
SVM1, Node2, Aggr2= New Vol2 as additional volume for General cluster
Please check and advise.
Thanks in advance.

SVMs can own volumes on any aggregate in the cluster.
Note that creating a data lif for SVM1 on node2 will be recommended.

Hi, Thanks for your input. so its going to be with Two (2) LIF once a new data LIF created. See sample below:
vServer | LIF | Role | Address | Netmask | Curr-node | Curr-port | is-home | broadcast-domain | |
Existing | SVM1 | SVM1_ESXNFS1_nfs_lif1 | Data | 10.xx.xx.10 | 255.255.255.0 | Node1 | a0b-520 | TRUE | ESX |
New | SVM1 | SVM1_ESXNFS1_nfs_lif2 | Data | 10.xx.xx.20 | 255.255.255.0 | Node2 | a0b-520 | TRUE | ESX |
