Hi, community:

I want to know that how many concurrent cifs sessions can be made to a FAS 2554 with 36GB ram running in 7-mode from different clients with 1 loc al user account  .

According to “CIFS resource limitations” (https://library.netapp.com/ecmdocs/ECMP1196993/html/GUID-F0D08FC9-3228-42A9-8741-53BD925A0EC0.html),

it says “ some CIFS resources is limited by your storage system's memory and the maximum memory available for CIFS services.” and

"Note: If your storage system is not able to obtain sufficient resources in these categories, contact technical support."

Does anyone know the formula to calculate it ?

Even an approximate number would alse be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Randy
