Good evening,
I need to perform a Head upgrade on a FAS3020C to a FAS3210C.
There are two forms of upgrade, using the FAS3020 root volume or using the FAS3210 root volume.
What is the difference between the two and under which scenario would you do perform each?
Any help you could give would be appreciated.
Thanks.

For a pure controller swap where you want to keep all existing settings, usually go with the old root volume from the 3020. If you want to make a lot of changes or migrate to vFilers (multistore is bundled in 32/6200 now) then we tend to use the new root.
