Mixed SSD for Hybrid aggregate

Hello everyone,

There is a hybrid aggregate with 800GB SSD.

Can we add 3.8TB SSD to this aggregate to increase the cache size ?

Is there any experience about that?

Maximum flashpool cache size is dependant on ONTAP version and controller platform. Please respond with exact details if you would like a more detailed answer.

Mixing SSD sizes in a flashpool is not recommended, and even if the controller can have more flashpool cache configured, the larger SSD will likely be resized to 800GB only.
