Ontap Upgrade from 9.1P8 to 9.1P12 for both cluster mode and 7 mode

Hello Everyone,

Can someone please let me know where can I find (or point me in that direction) a ONTAP upgrade plan from 9.1p8 to 9.1p12 for both cluster mode and 7 mode systems.

If somone has the upgrade steps outline and can/would like to share, I would really apreciate it.

There is only one common image for both flavours.

There is no such thing as 7-mode upgrade to 9.x.  Latest you can use is 8.2.5

You seem very basic.  You need to read the documentation or run an upgrade advisor.  Netapp makes it easy for you, just put some time in and read or run the upgrade advisor

About the upgrade from 9.1P8 to 9.1P12 for 7-mode ==> Cannot be done, no version for 7-mode exists

For the upgrade from 9.1P8 to 9.1 P12 for C-mode you can create a plan using upgrade advisor...

1. Login to support.netapp.com with account that has entitled access to the system running 9.1P8

2. Tools ==> Active IQ

3. On the left there is an arrow (pointing right above), upgrade advisor

4.  Give in the serial number of the system and then you can generate the upgrade steps/revert steps....
