Perfstat Local Account Necessary?

Hello,

I am cleaning up unnecessary accounts from our NetApp clusters. I noticed our two oldest clusters have an account that looks like this:

User Name or Group Name: perfstat
Application: ssh
Authentication Method: publickey
Remote Switch IP Address: -
Role Name: admin
Account Locked: -
Comment Text: -
Whether Ns-switch Group: no
Second Authentication Method2: none

The two clusters in question are running 9.5 but started in the 8.3.x days. The newer clusters that all started in 9.x don't have this account. I would like to disable and then delete it but want to ensure I'm not affecting the ability of OnTAP, Active IQ Unified Manager, or Active IQ online to collect performance data. Does anyone know the answer?

perfstat creates the local account when you run it. You can delete it as it will be created if you ever run a perfstat again.

Perfstat isn't supported in 9.5 as it's been replaced by performance archives, so you shouldn't ever run into this again.
