VSM baseline via USB device?

Guys,

I can find a lot of conflicting posts regarding LREP and/or SMT for seeding Volume SnapMirror via an USB drive.

What's the latest - is it doable / not doable?

The source systems are on ONTAP 7.3.4P4 & due to constrains in the datacentre there is no option for using a swing filer.

Yes it is possible to baseline a VSM relationship using USB.  There is an internal KB on this topic.
