Volume Encryption and Snapmirror

Does anyone know if when using snapmirror and the source volume is encrypted with NVE, do the blocks/files get sent encrypted across the network to the destination?

Wondering also, if encryption only occurs if DP/XDP with BRE is used, and once a relationship is configured or changes to LRE, then data-in-flight encryption stops.

Any insight or knowledge on this topic appreciated.

I'll answer the question in clear text instead having links that require an account to view. The answer is no, data is not encrypted in transit. NVE encrypts below the WAFL layer.
