Hi,
my customer have a HA pair of fas3210 in dot 7-mode 8.1.x
the controler have flash card
he want to upgrade to 8.2.x .
I see that fas3210 with flash cache installed can not upgrade to 8.2.x.
so my question is :
if we desable the flash cache ,will we be able to upgrade to 8.2.x
if a take the flash cache out of the controler , will we be able to upgrade to 8.2.x
and if without the flash cache the upgrade can be made , can we after that replug the flash cache in the controller ? or should we not ?

What is not clear in this statement from relase notes? "3210 and 3140 storage systems with Flash Cache modules are not supported in Data ONTAP 8.2 and
later 8.2.x releases operating in 7-Mode"?

my customer want to know , if we take the flash cache out from the system , will it be possible to do the upgrade in 8.2.x ( i think yes )
