replacing 10g netapp adapter on an existing FAS3210

Hi,

I have a FAS3210 running data ontap 8.0 , I wanted to replace existing quad port 1gb network adapter with two port 10gb adapter for more throughput.

Is it a straight forward replacement ( i mean does Ontap detect the adapters without any hassle  )  or is there a procedure for the same?

If you replace adapter in the same slot - yes, should be straightforward. Check HWU whether your Data ONTAP version supports your adapter. If yes, it will be auto detected and interface names remain the same.
