Hi,
We have our existing environment with *2 v3240 with *4 (*24 disks per shelf each 2.5TB SATA) shelves .
The current raid group is 11 and we are planning to add addittional 2 more shelves each with 24 disks with 2.5TB SATA(DS2246).
- Is it realistic to hot add on our existing environment? This is a backup filer and we have many snapmirror destination volumes. I am thinking of snapmirror break to stop the replication whilst this adding job is taking place but should it be cold added? Any thoughts?
- I don't think raid group can be expanded as it will max up and I think the new aggregate should be created but I think I need an advise on this.
Pleaes let me know your thoughts. Any more info needed please ask.
Thanks
Many thanks
Regars
