Hi all -
Deployed two Simulators on a vSphere 6.5 setup with the management interfaces on vDS in a portgroup together and the HA interfaces in a portgroup together.
When I run the cluster configuration the nodes do not find each other. I've IP'd both on e0c and can reach the web ui for each node, but they cannot see each other and show "Not sure all nodes have been discovered?" Refresh.
Any thoughts on this?

yeah, that only works with HA systems. The setup wizard doesn't really cope with non-HA systems. There's also a bootarg set in the default vsim loader that prevents the cluster lifs from being automatically generated at boot, which is why its not seeing any other controllers. But even if you fix that up it still can't make a multi-node cluster without HA. On the sim its best just to stick with the cli based cluster setup wizard, then run cluster setup on the other node(s) to join them.

Is HA supported in the simulator now?

Still not supported. But if your target platform is vsphere anyway, ONTAP Select does support HA. You can install it in eval mode and build out an HA cluster. There are also HA Simulator environments in Lab on Demand if you have access that.
