SIM 8.1 kernel panic?

Trying not to complain too bad because the SIM is free but is there a plan to fix this issue?

Had two 8.1 SIM's running for about a day, snapmirroring 3 small xp VM's for the purpose of SRM 5 testing.  SRM test plans were working on vSphere 5.  Leave the SIMs alone overnight, no changes, KERNEL PANIC in the morning on the SIM console?

PLEASE do not say these are SIMs and this can be expected behavior.

I guess NetApp does not monitor threads.  I think by reading other threads this kernel panic is a common situation which renders the simulator useless?  I've even just let the simulator sit there with no modifications and it kernel panics?
