Simulator Ontap 8.1.1 - Panic

When am trying to run the data ontap simulator  8.1.1.7mode on a VM Player  it is not starting up. I followed the initial steps as mentioned in the Guide and changed the Serial number and SYS ID but after pressing CTRL+C i get the error. Error is attached.

I have not seen this error, but I would make sure you have enough space on your hdd. Also make sure your system has enough memory. Lastly, make sure you are extracting the files with 7-zip.

You should not have to change the Serial or SYSID for a single 7-mode instance, but always need to do a disk init (menu 4).

I have a partner who is having a similar issue - anyone have any ideas how to workaround this problem ?
