At this moment we are using NetApp OnCommand (Datasets) in combination with NetApp Host Package 1.3 to backup the VM's (VMware) in our environment. The restores are also taking place within OnCommand.
NetApp stops the support for NetApp Host Package 1.3 (after 2017 - https://mysupport.netapp.com/info/communications/ECMP1400690.html).
We also have Virtual Storage Console 5.0 installed within our 5.5 VMware environment, but we are using it only for VAAI.
How do you backup your VMware environment and what do you think is the best way to do this?
