Hello,
First time user and new setup of Netapp C250.
Did a takeover exercise and it was successful from the NetApp perspective.
My issue is that during the takeover exercise I lost connectivity to all my VMs. This is because the hosts lost connections to the datastores during the takeover and had to go in and manually reconnect from the host.
My environment runs on vsphere esxi 8.0, we're presenting regular old iscsi luns from Netapp to vmware and we have Round Robin multipathing wtih VMW_SATP_ALUA.
Any common settings I'm overlooking or can someone poke me in the right direction?
I've read a couple of threads and while I have opened a ticket for log analysis I'm preparing for ping-pong exercise between netapp and vmware.
Appreciate everyone's input!

Hi there! have you installed ONTAP Tools for VMware https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-tools-vmware-vsphere/qsg.html#deploying-sra-on-srm ? This is the recommended method for provisioning storage - makes sure everything is setup optimally.

Nice! I've been looking for this. I'll set this up and see if it gives any glues.
Thanks so much. New to NetApp so a little surprised I got better support through forums than in person. After installing ONTAP tools for vmware and applying Recommended Values, I performed a takeover and all my Virtual Machines stayed up. Now if I only knew how to pull up the mac address of my NetApp ports as one stayed in a degraded state. Online chat agents just disconnect.
